1. To Lighten Up
If you’re looking for a bit of a change, balayage may be the answer to your prayers. I usually go lighter in the spring, I think it’s the perfect time to add a natural looking glow that will last throughout the summer months. It also grows out beautifully. But it also works well with warmer blonde or chocolate tones that look great in the fall and winter.
Just like the rest of the world, I didn’t/couldn’t do anything to my hair during the peak of the pandemic. So when I was ready to go back into the salon I opted for lighter tones. As long as it matches your style and you’ve got a competent stylist you can’t go wrong.
I’ve been going to Eli’s for years so I always recommend his salon. They’re so passionate about their work and very invested in their clients. Plus, Eli consistently keeps up with the latest trends and regularly takes classes to stay ahead. You can book your own appointment by leaving a message on their website here: http://www.elieesper.com/s/ and explore the services they have to offer.
First time clients also get steep discounts on their first appointment.
2. They're Versatile!
3. They Add Color and Dimension
Balayage adds beautiful color and dimension to your hair in such a natural looking way. I actually never add a new color. The stylist uses the bleach to lighten it and the toner to neutralize. I keep my natural hair color as my base. So if you’re apprehensive about dying it or just not looking for a dramatic change, balayage might be a good middle ground.
4. It’s Low Maintenance
I think people avoid dying their hair typically because of the maintenance to keep up with. But this method allows for less future trips to the salon. Just make sure to invest in some quality color hair products. I cannot stress this enough!
I personally use and recommend these for a shampoo and conditioner:
