The Best Way to Experience Dubai with Kids

The Best Way to Experience Dubai with Kids

Dubai is UAE’s most populous city, boasting jaw-dropping modern architecture, epic shopping malls and fascinating man-made islands.
It is a city of glamour and culture, a fusion of East meets West, notable in the facilities, restaurants and cafes.

I love traveling to places where I get to experience the culture, the architecture and fun places to take the kids. Isn’t it amazing when one destination caters to the entire family? There are so many things to do in Dubai with kids and that’s where the modern side of Dubai comes into play at its best. Below is a list if our favorite ways to experience Dubai with kids!

We stayed at the Swissotel Al Murooj to experience Swiss-Inspired service in the heart of Downtain Dubai. They did not disappoint!

Our Stay at the Swissotel Hotel

We stepped into a world of ease, luxury and Swiss hospitality located in the city’s favorite destinations. Directly opposite the Dubai Mall, one of the largest malls in the world, the iconic Burj Khalifa and within a few minutes drive to Dubai International Financial Center and World Trade Center with its many exhibition halls. The unique urban-style feel and ambiance at Swissotel Al Murooj Dubai cleverly combines hotel and apartment style accommodation, arranged around a central leisure complex.

Everyone was so attentive and friendly. As soon as we stepped into the Hotel, we were greeted with dates and assisted quickly. They helped us into our rooms and the service remained consistently great. They were very responsive with any requests we had when it came to our dietary restrictions and the needs of our children. They also made taking the covid tests so easy! They had a contracted lab come to our room and swab us before our travels and sent us the results that night! It relieved us from so much anxiety and stress that is associated with covid.

Guest Rooms

When contemporary and Arabic flair meet. Refined in design and furnished with luxurious amenities in the 251 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites. Lush gardens or city views adding a picturesque touch to the overall guest experience. Exclusive services that cater to the needs of the discerning business and leisure travelers. Executive rooms and the swiss executive Club lounge provide additional luxury and exclusivity.
Our apartment was even more spacious than we expected. It included a bedroom for me and Jay with a king sized bed and a separate bedroom the kids shared with two queen sized beds. We also had a flat screen TV in our bedroom. There was also a separate living area with another flat screen TV, sofas, and a dining room set. The kitchen was a full kitchen which even included a washer and dryer which was pivotal for our family of 5. One of the best parts was having 3 bathrooms so we never had to wait for each other to use them.

Restaurants & Lounge

Discover a wealth of dining with plenty of personality at Swissotel Al Murooj Dubai. The hotel’s six different areas for food and beverages include Pergolas. Pergolas is an all-day dining restaurant serving a wide choice of international dishes at a daily buffet service. Double Decker is a British themed pub packed with character. A menu brimming with traditional pub favorites and British hops has long been a hit with Dubai residents in search of taste of home. Tabule offers middle eastern specialties. Located in the lush gardens, surrounded by palm trees and a water lagoon, the cozy outdoor venue is the perfect location to unwind. Anees is the natural option for those enjoying leisure time by the hotel’s pool with the menu full of favorite bites, sandwiches, salads and daily specials. Making this a favorite pool bar in Dubai. For daily escape for coffee and snacks, Ojos Cafe’ would be the best spot.

We had such a beautiful and delicious Valentine’s Day dinner at Pergolas. We dined outside with a beautiful view of the pool and the rest of the resort. They decorated the tables with rose petals which really gave us a special experience.

Our favorite dining experience was the Banquet of Hoshena. It was such a magical experience where we were transported to an imaginary land using 3D technology and special props. The five course meal was delicious as well as magnificent to look at. The meals would look as if they were floating and the plates would be talking to us through this story-telling experience.

It was absolutely enchanting! We even had the opportunity to participate by mixing potions! This was one of our favorite experiences during our trip to Dubai! If you’re interested in stay at this luxury resort just click here for booking information!

Burj Khalifa

One of the most popular things to do in Dubai with family is visiting the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world; the little ones in the family will definitely have a great time visiting it and will love to tell their friends they have been there. A visit to the observation deck on the upper floors is kid-friendly and many families visit this landmark on a daily basis.

Admire the Dubai Fountain

In front of the mall you can find the Dubai Fountain where you can enjoy a free light and music show that will definitely leave you and your kids speechless! A great thing to do with your whole family without having to break the bank! NOTE: Currently, the shows take place in the afternoons and evenings starting at 1pm, from Saturday to Thursday.
Of course, most of the activities in Dubai like a Dhow Cruise or the Dubai Fountain Show are suitable for kids

Dubai Waterparks

There are countless waterparks in Dubai, but the ones I recommend for you to visit with the little ones of the family are the following:

Aquaventure- Atlantis the Palm

At Aquaventure, located in the Atlantis Palm Hotel, you can spend the day enjoying more than 30 waterslides and attractions suitable for the whole family! After a day at the waterpark, you can check out the beach walk, the food stalls around it and grab a bite to eat!

Legoland Water Park

Not only can you enjoy an amusement park when you visit Legoland, but bring your swimsuit as you will be spending a good chunk of the day at their awesome Lego-themed waterpark. From the interactive play structures to the Build-A-Raft lazy river, this is the perfect place for nostalgic Lego fans and their kids!

Wander Around the Glow Garden

It is one of the best places to visit in Dubai with family and it opens at 4pm every evening. There, you can explore the different glow-in-the-dark venues and installations and enjoy how the lights change to the rhythm of the music!

Get Lost In The Enchanted Miracle Garden

A perfect place to have a walk with your kids and make you feel like you have stepped into Dubai’s very own Disneyland is to visit the Dubai Miracle Garden!

The largest flower garden in the world, it covers more than 72,000 square meters and is home to more than 50 million flowers! You can explore its different sections such as the Giant Mickey Mouse, the butterfly garden, the Disney Avenue, or even Smurf Village and enjoy this magical place that will leave your kids speechless.

Relax at The Dubai Beach

One of the best things to do with kids in Dubai has to be visiting its many beaches! Simple as that sounds, it has it all because you get to spend a fun and nice day outside with your family!

Dubai is famous for its beaches and it does not matter much whether they’re artificial or not, the family won’t even notice!

The most popular beaches are Marina Beach and Kite Beach. The latter one is famous for its kite surfers and is a great spot to entertain yourself with the kids while watching people surfing with the wind and on top of that, you get an amazing view of the Burj Al Arab building.

I also recommend you go to Julmeirah Open Beach or the chill Palace Beach, both of which are also free and public!

The Grand Mosque

Tour the Grand Mosque, in Abu Dhabi, UAE! Abu Dhabi is very near to Dubai, and has many attractions worth making a trip for! The Grand Mosque, is a real chance to experience and appreciate another culture. Beautiful architecture and history make this a must do, but do note that Mosque manners may dictate some in your party changing before touring.
