Cartoon Network Hotel and Dutch Wonderland

We’ve been taking a series of smaller trips this year as the global pandemic continues. One of our most recent trip was to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to visit the new Cartoon Network Hotel and a day out at Dutch Wonderland amusement park. Dutch Wonderland was right next door! So easy and convenient (only 2 1/2 hours from NYC).

This is the world’s very first Cartoon Network Hotel. I remember watching the Powerpuff Girls saving the Townsville and Dee Dee pestering Dexter in his laboratory, when we were kids and I thought it would be really cool for my kids to see some of their own favorite character-themed rooms. They have guest rooms as well as their Dream Suites for those that want more space. The Dream Suites are limited and get booked quick, so we suggest you book in advance.

Be sure to stop by the lobby during the meet & greets with some of your favorite Cartoon Netowork characters!

The kids loved their character themed Ben 10 room! They were even greeted with the sweetest cards that included delightful messages and game cards for the omnicade!

Cartoon Kitchen

This is a full-service restaurant- Enjoy immersing yourselves in the cartoon world by ordering dishes straight from your favorite shows for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Bearista Cafe

Just want a quick bite? The bear brothers got you covered at the Bearista Café! They’ll make you a hot coffee, iced beverage, or delicious treat.

Outdoor Pool

Cartoon Network Hotel has a brand new zero-entry pool that’s open during the summer. The outdoor hot tub was not in use during our stay. The outdoor pool also features a water-slide and we got to watch all of this action from our cabana right beside the pool when we weren’t in the pool ourselves.

We Cooled off next to the pool with Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup at The Powerpuff Girls “Splashville” splash pad too.

The Land of P’ool Concession Stand offers summertime favorites like salads, fruit cups, sandwiches, ice cream, frozen treats, and drinks.

Indoor Pool

The exterior-entry, heated indoor pool is open year-round. Just like the rest of the hotel, the indoor pool is also Cartoon Network themed. The indoor pool building features a hot tub (not currently in use) and a shallow baby pool as well as restrooms, towels, and tables.

Omnicade

Join Ben 10 in his very own Omnicade where you can play fun arcade game favorites and redeem tickets to win cool prizes! We loved how the hotel had different activities for the kids to do to keep them entertained.

Outdoor Movie Screening

Grab a seat and enjoy your favorite shows, or be among the exclusive few to see the first screening of a new episode.

Dutch Wonderland

The Hotel is conveniently located beside Dutch Wonderland. Be sure to check their calendar if you are planning to visit both this hotel and Dutch Wonderland.

We visited Dutch Wonderland during our stay at Cartoon Network Hotel. We were all able to to take a high-flying adventure on Merlin’s Mayhem, cool off in the Duke’s Lagoon, and ride smaller rides that are perfectly sized for toddlers and small children. This place really is a “Kingdom for Kids.” Your kids can go on rides as you cheer them on from the sidelines or you can join them on the rides more suitable for families to ride together. We really enjoyed being able to do a mix of both.

This was a great end to our summer! Thanks for reading and following along! We hope that you all had a great summer as well and wish you the best of luck this school year.
