Reasons to Take The Kids Along to Paris!

Here’s a list of wonderful reasons to take the Kids to Paris! Paris is full of rich history, amazing parks, and so much to see and do!

To Play Tourists- The Eiffel Tower is not to be missed!

Take multiple trips if possible (from different views to gain another perspective) after all it is the most visited monument in the world! Be sure to also see the light show the Eiffel Tower puts on after dark as it is truly a magical sight!

Tip: Take the stairs inside the tower to avoid the lines. Or even better consider reserving a spot in line with a prepaid ticket that will get you to one of the higher level viewing points that are not accessible by stairs (and to avoid all that work!)

Then take the kids the lovely carousel right by the Eifel Tower!
I was surprised to find them in several touristy places around the city!

Address: Carousel near Eiffel Tower – Corner of the Pont d’Iéna and Quai Branly – Champ de Mars 75007 Paris

To Visit an Entire Park Dedicated to Family: Jardin du Luxembourg

This park is a wonderful space for a picnic with the kids. Jardin du Luxembourg, also known as Luxembourg Gardens, is ideal for little ones. They have one of the best playgrounds for a small fee to enter. They have over 49 activities available to the public! There is a carousel as well as games, animals, a puppet theatre, and pony rides. You can also rent a model sailboat to sail on the Grand Basin in center of the park. The kids loved it. Take a stroll through the gardens and you can enjoy the cafe and foodstands.

This is a favorite spot for local Parisians as well as tourists. You’ll also find some lovely boutiques for children along Rue Vavin including Petit Bateau and Jacadi.

Louvre Museum

Even the kids will enjoy visiting the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre Museum. They too can admire the Louvre pyramid in the main courtyard and the famous Mona Lisa. You can peak the interest of your kids with a Louvre family tour.

This scavenger hunt asks specific questions about many of the Louvre’s masterpieces. Designed to give children an entertaining background and a chance at using their “detective” skills of observation. Through the clues provided and their own answers they’ll discover an educational prize hidden somewhere under the Louvre’s glass pyramid.

Tips: It’s best to have a list of places you’d like to visit according to a map of the museum. If you’re not fluent in French you should also consider picking an audio guide.

Tuileries Garden

Then be sure to head outside to Tuileries Garden, situated between the Louvre and Pace de la Concorde. It’s a charming french park and garden attracting Parisians and tourists alike. There you can refresh with snacks and ice cream from the vendors. There’s also a fountain where the kids can rent sailboats. In the summer there’s a garden over the northern side. For the younger children, there is a merry-go-round, trampolines, and a great playground for kids.

Disneyland Paris

I don’t know a kid that doesn’t love Disneyland and Disneyland Paris is no exception! After a few days of exploring Parisian culture, art and history, the kids will be so excited to play and just be a kid at Disneyland Paris. You’ll visit and enjoy the magical world of Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios! There are endless attractions and thrills to enjoy. You will all have so much fun that you’ll be glad you decided take the kids to Paris.

Chateau Versailles with Kids

Take the kids to Paris to visit the Palace of Versailles, one of the largest and most opulent castles in the world. My kids enjoyed the gardens more than the palace.

A Boat Trip on The Seine

paris
Give the kids a chance to rest their little legs while enjoying a boat ride on the water. You can ride a hop on, hop off service by taking a Batobus, a great option if you don’t want to be on a boat for over an hour with the kids. It’s also a great method of transportation to get you to some of the most famous landmarks.
paris
Rate: One day ticket with Batobus costs €17 and €8 for children aged 3-15 . A two-day pass could cost only €2 more.

However, it does not offer a tour with commentary. If that is what you’re looking for, then consider Bateaux Parisiens, it offers tours with a show where they tell the story of Paris in song and anecdotes.

I’m sure it’ll be an unforgettable trip. Enjoy and remember to try new food, have your kids keep a journal, and eat at an outdoor cafe.
